Andrew is One!

Andrew decided to kick off the beginning of his second year of life by learning how to dance. He is a crazy man when you get him near his singing lawnmower.

All that dancing makes you breath like Darth Vador.

Traditionally, one has a chocolate birthday cake to smear all over one's self, unless, of course, your mother has a cooking disaster ealier in the day while baking for an upcoming wedding and can't face the oven again that day. In cases such as these, you have flat shortbread with not enough flour in it and a tealight for a candle. Yummy, just not quite the same.

Then the party continued at Grandmommie's house on Saturday.

Leah played kings in the corner with the big kids. They managed to give her the jokers to keep her occupied.

Rachel and Peter came all the way from Idaho to join in the fun and to get married.

He had his first baseball lesson.

Then he still didn't get a proper cake. All I had in the house were eggwhites after several successful batches of shortbread, so the poor boy had a chocolate angel food cake for his second party.

It's always nice to share with your cousins.
and enjoy the best toy ever, the dog's hindquarters.
